Symptoms of Diabetes Children


If your child may have diabetes, then the earlier it is diagnosed, the better off your child will be.  There are many symptoms of diabetes.  Children are often misdiagnosed by parents, as they tend to lose weight, while teenagers and adults tend to be overweight. 

Symptoms of juvenile diabetes may include:

 

  • Feeling an unquenchable thirst, which leads to an increase in water intake
  • Feeling tired all the time
  • Feeling hungry all the time
  • Feeling irritable most of the time

If you suspect your child may have diabetes, then it is important that you make an appointment with your family doctor right away.  Your doctor will do a blood test to accurately diagnose diabetes.
